Spend five minutes here and you feel like you’ve been here for ten years. The people aren’t just friendly and welcoming, they are genuine and compassionate. Manners are apparent and people look you in the eye and say hello when you walk down the sidewalks. As much as I’m amazed by the beauty around here, I’m really amazed by the people. “my home is yours” evolved from the thought that if I were an orphan, Charleston is where I would want to be. People take you in as their own here and they truly care for each other, no matter where you come from.
